Acceptable Use Policy

Encore lets fans back the artists they love. To keep it fair and safe, you must not use Encore to do any of the following.

Impersonation and misleading tokens

• Pretend to be an artist, their team or Encore, or suggest a token is official when it isn't (for example, "Official" in a name or ticker).
• Fake or imitate the Verified badge.
• Put verification codes on profiles you don't control, or otherwise interfere with an artist's verification.

Harmful content

• Use names, tickers or images that are illegal, sexually explicit, hateful, violent, harassing, or that infringe someone else's rights.
• Upload anything containing malware or personal data about other people.

Market abuse

• Manipulate prices, for example through wash trading, coordinated pump-and-dumps, spoofing, or false or misleading promotion.
• Mislead people about a token, its artist or its prospects.

Attacks and abuse

• Exploit bugs or vulnerabilities in Encore or its smart contracts. Report them instead (see Security and Bug Reports).
• Overload, scrape at high volume, or get around rate limits or other protections on Encore and its APIs.
• Automate verification attempts or submit forged proofs.

Illegal activity

• Launder money, finance terrorism, commit fraud, or evade sanctions.
• Use Encore from a restricted jurisdiction, or hide your location to get around the eligibility rules in the Terms of Service.

What we do about it

We may hide tokens or pages from Encore, block access, refuse or reassign artist verifications, and report activity to the authorities. We can't undo transactions on the blockchain. To report abuse, email legal@[your-domain].
