This page is for artists, labels, managers and other rights holders who have concerns about how their name, image or work appears on Encore.

How Encore uses artist names and images

Fans launch tokens dedicated to artists. To show which artist a token is for, Encore displays the artist's public name and profile image from Spotify or SoundCloud. Tokens are labelled unverified and not affiliated with the artist unless the artist verifies. A launcher can also upload their own image for a token.

What we can do

• Hide a token's page and listings from Encore.
• Stop showing your name or photo in the token details that Encore serves to wallets and explorers, where the token uses Encore's metadata link.
• Remove an uploaded image from our storage provider and stop displaying it on Encore.
• Add a notice to a token, or correct which artist it is linked to on Encore.

What we can't do

• Delete a token or its history from the blockchain.
• Stop a token trading on other apps, exchanges or aggregators.
• Remove copies of an image that others have stored on IPFS, or change a token's on-chain name and ticker, which are permanent.

How to send a request

Email legal@[your-domain] with:

1. your name, organization and how to contact you;
2. the work, trademark or likeness concerned;
3. links to the tokens or pages on Encore (the token's mint address is enough);
4. what you'd like us to do;
5. a statement that you believe in good faith that the use isn't authorized by the owner or the law;
6. a statement that the information is accurate and that you are the owner, or authorized to act for them; and
7. your physical or electronic signature.

We review requests promptly and may ask for more information. If we act on a request about content someone uploaded, we may tell them. They may send a counter-notice with the same details, explaining why they believe the content is allowed.
