Wallets and Transactions

Encore currently runs on Solana devnet, a test network. Tokens and SOL on devnet have no real value.
Encore never holds your funds
Encore is non-custodial. Your funds stay in your wallet until you approve a transaction, and smart contracts on the Solana blockchain carry out every action. We never see your private keys or seed phrase, and we will never ask for them. Anyone who does is trying to steal from you.
Logging in
You log in by connecting an external Solana wallet, such as Phantom, Solflare, Backpack or another Wallet Standard wallet, through our login provider, Privy. You then sign a message (Sign-In With Solana). Signing it is free, moves no funds and grants no permissions. Encore has no email or social login and doesn't create wallets for you. Log out from the wallet menu at any time. Privy's own terms and privacy policy also apply to login.
What you sign

Trading happens on Jupiter or directly in Meteora's pools. When you trade through another app, that app builds the transaction. Encore never asks you to approve spending allowances (token delegations).
Before you approve
- Check the amounts and the programs involved. Genuine Encore transactions only use the programs listed below, plus Solana's standard system and token programs.
- Make sure your wallet is on the right network. Encore currently runs on Solana devnet.
- Confirmed transactions are final. Nobody can reverse them, including Encore. Every transaction pays a Solana network fee, even if it fails.

Staying safe
- Check the site address before connecting your wallet.
- Encore staff will never message you first, ask for your seed phrase, or ask you to "validate" or "sync" a wallet.
- Consider a hardware wallet, or a separate wallet for trading.
- If your wallet is compromised, move your funds to a new wallet. Artists should then verify again from the new wallet (see Artist Verification and Claims).
