Artist Verification and Claims

Fans launch tokens for artists on Encore, and part of every trading fee is held in an on-chain vault for the artist. This page explains how artists prove a profile is theirs and claim those fees. Start from the claim page.

Who can claim

Whoever controls the artist's Spotify or SoundCloud profile: the artist, or team members they have given access to that profile. We verify control of the profile, not legal identity. Disagreements within a team are for the team to resolve.

Ways to verify

• SoundCloud: sign in with the artist's SoundCloud account, or add a one-time code to its bio.
• Spotify: add a one-time code to the artist bio in Spotify for Artists, or post the code from the X account linked on the Spotify profile.
• Manual review: if none of these work for you, email legal@[your-domain] from an official channel. We may ask for more proof and, if we're satisfied, give you an approval code.

Each code is tied to the wallet you're verifying. You can remove it from your bio or delete the post once you're verified.

What verification does

When your proof checks out, Encore's verification key signs a short-lived approval. You submit it from your wallet, and the Encore program records that wallet as the payout wallet for your profile. That covers every token launched for your profile, now and in the future. Your profile and wallet are then shown as Verified.

Claiming

From the claim page, your verified wallet can claim the balance of every vault held for you in one approval. Fees are paid in SOL. You pay network fees, plus small one-time deposits for new token accounts (see Fees).

Changing your payout wallet

Verify again from the new wallet. The newest verification replaces the previous one for future claims. Anything already claimed stays where it was sent.

If you don't claim

If you haven't verified within 1 hour of a token's launch, anyone can sweep that token's vault balance to Encore's treasury. Fees earned afterwards keep building up for you, and you can still verify and claim them. Once you're verified, your vaults can't be swept.

Verified is not an endorsement

Claiming fees doesn't mean you endorse a token or are responsible for it. You can't stop a token from trading, but you can ask us to hide tokens from Encore or change how they're shown (see Brand and Takedown Requests).

Disputes and mistakes

If someone else has verified your profile, for example after gaining access to it, email legal@[your-domain] with evidence. We can verify the rightful artist to their own wallet, which redirects future claims. We can't reverse claims that have already been paid.

Taxes and privacy

You are responsible for any taxes on fees you claim. How we handle verification data is described in the Privacy Policy.
